Summary
We do not know who you are, and we do not store what you calculate. Any financial data you enter into our calculators remains entirely local to your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
1. Information Collection
You don't need an account to use our tools. We only collect personal information when you choose to give it to us through a form: your name, email address and phone number when you ask to be connected with a professional, your email address when you ask us to email your results, and your email address (plus any loan details you choose to include) when you sign up for RBA rate alerts. These details are stored securely with our provider Airtable and used only for the purpose you gave them. Signing up for rate alerts also means agreeing to occasional marketing emails from us (property tips, guides and offers), as the sign-up box says.
2. Usage of Data
Calculations run in your browser, and the figures you enter are saved on your own device so they're there when you come back. We don't see them unless you submit a form or email your results, which sends the figures with your request. "Copy link to these results" puts your figures in the link itself, so anyone you share it with can see them.
Rate alerts and marketing emails are sent only to people who ticked the box agreeing to receive them, and every email has an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe we stop emailing you straight away. You can ask us to delete your details at any time through the contact options on our About page.
3. Analytics & Logging
Standard web analytics (like Google Analytics) may be used to understand site traffic and popular pages. This data is anonymised and aggregated. We use this information solely to improve the user experience and ensure the reliability of the service.
4. Cookies
We use minimal cookies for basic session management and to remember your preferences (such as "Include GST" or "Net Lease" toggles) during your visit. You can clear these at any time via your browser settings.
5. Third-Party Services
This site contains links to official Australian government sources (ABS, ATO, and State Revenue Offices). These external sites have their own privacy policies which we encourage you to review.
6. Security
As we don't store your data, there is no database of lease information to be breached. We use HTTPS encryption to protect the transmission of the website files themselves to your browser.
